Blues legend B.B. King has died at the age of 89 at his home in Las Vegas. His lawyer reported that King passed away in his sleep. The exact cause of death has not yet been stated.
After suffering exhaustion and dehydration in October last year, King was forced to cancel his tour due to ill health. He did not perform since then. On the 30’th of April this year, he suffered a heart attack and has since been in hospice care at his home.
King is known as one of the hardest working musicians in show business, averaging 275 shows a year. Some of his well-known songs include “The Thrill is Gone”, “My Lucille” and “Sweet Little Angel”. He has a discography of over 50 album releases since 1940.
B.B. King is noted for being able to say more with just 3 notes than most can say with 100. He will live on as one of the few ambassadors of the blues.
