The Coca-Cola Summer Festival is a free concert that takes place once a year in Rome. The idea of the festival is to showcase some of the biggest local vocal talents. There is even a competition to establish which singer stole the show for the year. This year’s festival took place on June 23 – 26.
As you can imagine, it’s unlikely to find an avid guitar supporter in the audience. Let’s face it; “popular” vocalists of today don’t even play with a real band anymore. In fact, if you have any understanding of music, the ‘talent’ at this festival will probably cause you to run for your life.
To be honest I haven’t listened to a lot of the artists who performed at the festival, however I was surprised to actually see a guitar on the stage with an act called The Kolors. Upon further inspection, I quite enjoyed the performance.
I know most people reading this probably only listen to English or American music, so do yourself a favor and check out the video from The Kolors below. It’s not Led Zeppelin, but at least they’re combining real instruments with a high-energy performance.
