While there were no gear releases last week, this week included some interesting releases. The top gear pick of the week goes to the Maytech Dugyte (see below). This is great for live guitarists and will really help to save on time and the tedious task of connecting dozens of cables.
Maytech Music DuGyte Connection System
This system aims to make your life easier by combining all signal paths into a single cable. This includes your pedalboard, effects loop, power, midi and more. A very innovative product that I’ll be looking to get my hands on in the near future. Visit the website.
Radial Engineering Headload Prodigy
The Headload essentially allows you to run your amplifier at high volumes while reducing the amount of volume sent to your cabinet, along with a few other features. This is basically a downsized version from the original Headload, which was a bit large for my taste.
Billy Gibbons Ultimate SG
This new SG designed by Billy Gibbons features an interesting visual appearance. From what I’ve heard, his guitars play quite differently to ‘regular’ instruments, primarily because of the low string gauge he uses. Visit the website.
Wampler Pedals CataPulp Distortion
This is a classic British sounding distortion pedal designed after the Orange Rockverb Mk II. View the documentation.
