I got the opportunity to see Victor Wooten live for the second time a couple of days ago (I’ll be posting pictures soon). Unforunately Regi “The Teacher” Wooten, who is the guitar player in the Victor Wooten Band, could not make the show. Regi began to teach Victor to play bass when he was just 2 years of age. He also taught his 3 other brothers how to play an instrument. What’s intriguing about Regi’s approach to teaching is his simple way of looking at things. It kind of reminds me of my own guitar teacher when I was younger.
