The G4 experience is a clinic version of the G3 concert tour hosted by Joe Satriani. It spans over 4 days, from August 8 (Monday) to August 11 2016. Included is a variety of masterclasses suitable for all levels. It’s an opportunity to ask questions and jam with some of the top guitar players in the world. “You get to hear some of the burning questions that the students have on a whole range of subjects and they always take me by surprise.”
The line up for this year is Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Mike Keneally, Alex Skolnick and Steve Vai. Each artist will host a variety of master classes, jam sessions and Q&A sessions. “The real people, the real genuine articles, are available for you to hang out with, play with, talk with and experience music with“. Featured guests include Bryan Beller, Marco Minneman, Andy Aledort, Doug Doppler and Stig Mathisen.
Hosted at the Glen Cove Mansion in New York, students will have the opportunity to stay at the location and not have to worry about driving home at night.
One of the clinics hosted by Satriani on August 11 will feature special insight on live performances. Included will be techniques, tricks and tips to achieving a successful live performance. “Forty-six years of experience playing live on stage has given me unique insights into to making every show fun for both you and your audience.”
